Summit MTB Club AGM and Dinner – Monday 4th December
The Plough, Hyde Heath, HP6 5RW
7pm for 7.15pm start, food served 8pm.
It’s that time of year again! Following a successful event last year, this year we are again holding the Club AGM at the Plough in Hyde Heath on Monday 4th December.
The format will be similar to last year too – we will have a short presentation from current members of the Club Committee, followed then by Elections of Official Committee Members and nominations into other essential club roles. This year we are especially looking for people who would like to help out in roles such as Club Welfare Officer (Head and Deputy), Membership Secretary, Communications Officer, Kit Officer and Social Secretary. If you would like more information on any of these roles or are thinking you might be able to help out in some capacity, please do email us before the AGM to discuss further. The club can only grow stronger with your help!
After the official business of the reports and the elections, we would like to open the floor for all the members to ask questions and to suggest ways that they would like to see the club develop. 2017 has seen a huge change in membership, so the club is now mostly families with young riders. We would like to be able to reflect this change in our activities for 2018.
And lastly, (perhaps most importantly!) after all that, at around 8pm, we will be serving food! A choice of chilli and rice or curry and rice (veggie options available!) for £5 – £7 per head (Exact price TBC nearer the time). This will give us all a chance to catch up and reflect on the fun riding of 2017 and look forward to 2018.
We welcome all members and their families to join us – it should be a fun evening and not too heavy on the formalities!
